Atty. Ma. Louella “Peaches” M. Aranas

Managing Partner

Peaches has over 20 years of experience in the private tax and corporate practice and has been involved in advisory, advocacy and tax litigation. She was a former Director for the Tax Division at SGV & Co. where she worked for almost a decade. Briefly, she joined KPMG Laya Mananghaya & Co. as a Senior Manager also in its Tax Division, where she took on leadership roles particularly in establishing the weekly round table discussions of the group. In 2005, she joined her husband in Aranas Law Offices where she handled not only client service but the management of the administrative and finance matters of the firm.

In 2015, she established LMA Law, and is currently the managing partner of the firm. Among her key areas of expertise include the design and implementation of corporate restructuring (corporate reorganizations, spin-offs, mergers, capital structuring, etc.); design and implementation of corporate tax planning (tax-free exchanges, mergers and acquisitions, share swap, etc.); representation before the revenue tax authorities (securing tax rulings and tax treaty relief rulings, securing tax clearances and cancellation of tax assessments, securing tax refunds); and tax due diligence for mergers, acquisition, initial public offerings and compliance check.

Peaches is a graduate of the Ateneo De Manila University where she received her Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor degree.

Atty. Ronald Steven “Ron” Arriesgado


Ron has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Minor in Economics from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law, and is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. He attended the 81st Management Development program of the Asian Institute of Management.

Ron is a former Senior Director of SGV where he handled various tax and transfer pricing (TP) work for local and multinational companies (MNCs), and has handled various benchmarking and TP documentation engagements for local clients engaged in different industries. Particularly, he has been invited to speak on TP issues at external seminars to clients and professional organizations.

As a tax lawyer, Ron has also managed and resolved taxation issues of local and multinational clients. He has resolved tax assessment cases issued by the Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue, and have provided advice to clients on national and local taxes, proper tax strategies to cancel or substantially lower tax assessments, as well as the tax aspects of doing business in the Philippines. He has also successfully handled tax refunds and assessments before the Philippine tax authorities and the Court of Tax Appeals.
